Prime Minister the Most Hon. Dr. Hubert Minnis will travel to Brussels, Belgium, on Monday 11 November 2019 to take part in the official opening of the Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and Mission to the European Union, the Cabinet Office has announced.
The Prime Minister will lead a delegation of senior government officials, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Darren Henfield; Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, the Hon. Carl Bethel; and Minister of Financial Services, Trade & Industry and Immigration, the Hon. Elsworth Johnson.
While in Brussels, the Prime Minister is also expected to meet with the Secretary-General and Commission of Ambassadors of the African Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, and
the European Commission’s Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Hon. K. Peter Turnquest will act as Prime Minister in the Prime Minister’s absence.
Prime Minister Minnis returns to The Bahamas on Friday 15 November.
