NASSAU, The Bahamas — Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Lanisha Rolle hosted a Welcome Reception, on January 13, 2020 for World Athletics (formerly the International Amateur Athletic Federation) President Sebastian Coe and North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Council Members at SuperClubs Breezes Resort, Cable Beach. NACAC President Bahamian Mike Sands also received special recognition.
Among those present for the reception were the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, David Cates; Under Secretary Montez Williams; Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Sharon Brennen-Haylock; Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eugene Torchon-Newry; Director of Sports Timothy Munnings; Senator the Hon. Jamal Moss; Honourary Lifetime Member of the World Athletics / IAAF Pauline Davis-Thompson; NACAC Immediate Past President Victor Lopez; Secretary General of the Bahamas Olympic Committee Derron Donaldson and President Rommel Knowles; Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) President Drumeco Archer; various sports bodies representatives; and other stakeholders, including Alpheus “Hawk” Finlayson and Wellington Miller.
