The Ministry of Youth, Sports & Culture proudly congratulates the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA), team management, coaches and all of the competitors who comprised Team Bahamas at the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar. We are proud of each of you. These athletes proved that the size of the team would not define their impact and, in sensational fashion, delivered a gold and silver medal, bringing joy to a nation so in need of hope.

All Love for Grand Bahama
(AMTI) Angie’s Models and Talent Inc in partnership with Otto’s BMW, Subaru and Lavish Events hosted “All Love For Grand Bahama” Runway Show and Fundraising Reception for Victims of Hurricane Dorian at Otto’s Club, TD Place on Sunday October 6, 2019. In addition to funds raised at the event, a cheque in the amount of $10,000 was donated. The owners of AMTI are Lou Seymour(originally from Grand Bahama) and Angie Seymour.

12 Ambulances donated for Dorian Relief
The National Emergency Management Services (NEMS) receiving a boost to its fleet of emergency service vehicles as Global Medical Response donates twelve (12) ambulances in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. The first donation of four (4) ambulances took place on September 12th, the second shipment of four (4) more ambulances on September 24th, and an additional four (4) ambulances expected in approximately two (2) weeks.
