On 30th October 2019 The Bahamas formally established diplomatic relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina by the signing of a Joint Communique.  The Joint Communique was signed by Her Excellency Ms. Sheila Carey, Permanent Representative of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to the United Nations (right) and His Excellency Mr. Sven Alkalaj, Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations (left). The signing ceremony was held at the Permanent Mission of The Bahamas to the United Nations in New York.
